Higher Moor Farm Campsite (Higher Moor Farm Campsite)

We've stayed in the larger pods at the back of the park and overall have no complaints with the campsite and the staff are great. There is a variation of food vans that come down in the evenings and live music on some of the nights for entertainment. The facilities we've seen were clean and of a high standard although didn't need to use them as we have the pod. The pod itself is warm, dry and very well insulated (heat and sound) when the doors and windows are closed. The inside is well kept and although a little ticky, sleeping up top isn't too bad. We had a nice decking area and the views are great too! A consideration if you have young kids is the play area, it's quite small (two swings [baby and a normal one], a slide and a bit to climb) so if lots of kids are here it's extremely busy. There is a set of goal posts and netball net if they're into that and if it's not being used. We found during the week we stayed it was busy so the kids spent a lot of time waiting for a single swing often not ending up getting on it anyway. There isn't huge amounts else to do we found other than the coin arcade but this could soon end up costing a lot. This may be perfect for you but if you're after somewhere to keep the kids entertained then just bare this in mind. It's not a negative, but a consideration. If your kids are older or you're adults only then it's a really great place to stay!
